What things do you recognize in this photograph? What things seem new to you?

When I see this photo, I see how different life is in other countries. This place has endured hardship and war that has destroyed so much of what they know. This boy might have even lost his arms in the war or became disabled. 

What can you tell me about how this person lived? How did you arrive at that idea?

You can clearly see in this photo that they boy has had a difficult life based on his armlessness. This boy has probably struggled his whole life to survive and help himself in rough situations. Based on the background, I can assume he might have lost him arms in an accident or in the means of war. 

What do you think is worth remembering about this photograph?

I think it is worth remembering that living in America is a great advantage and  we can live a healthy life. But in so many parts of the world, people have it very hard. It is important to remember to count your blessings and not take for granted the nice lifestyle you have.
